The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore automatic chronograph "The Beast" reference 26237ST.OO.1000ST.01.A is an emblematic piece in the history of watchmaking. Heir to the 25721ST reference, the very first Offshore, its nickname, "The Beast", evokes its robust and imposing design, which has marked a significant evolution in the Royal Oak Offshore collection.

At its launch in 1993, the first Royal Oak Offshore, upset the established order, with its bold and disproportionate lines. It is at the origin of a global craze for oversized luxury sports watches. The 2018 reissue reference 26237ST.OO.1000ST.01.A, pays tribute to the quintessence of the original timepiece, in a version optimised with current knowledge and techniques.

Its stainless steel case measures 42mm in diameter and about 15mm in thickness, underlining its imposing character. The octagonal bezel, signature of the Royal Oak collection, sports its famous hexagonal nuts. The watch is waterproof up to 100 meters, making it worthy of the Offshore name.

The blue dial decorated with the "Petite Tapisserie" pattern has applied index and hands both in white gold with luminescent coating. The three chronograph counters are in monochromatic blue and the date at 3h is equipped with an internal cyclops-style magnifying glass to keep a flat profile on the sapphire glass.

The watch is equipped with an automatic chronograph movement, the caliber 3126/3840. Functions include hours, minutes, small seconds, chronograph and date. The power reserve is around 48 hours. The stainless steel strap to match the case is integrated with an AP folding closure.

Since its creation, "The Beast" has been adopted by many celebrities and collectors for its bold look and prestigious heritage.
