Rolex Submariner « Hulk »

Among the most coveted variants, the reference 116610LV, nicknamed "Hulk", has established itself as a modern icon, combining robustness, performance and a bold design marked by its distinctive green hue.

Presented in 2010, the 116610LV is the direct heir of the 16610LV "Kermit", but it is distinguished by the use of a green dial and a green ceramic bezel, giving it a unique visual identity. Its 40 mm Oystersteel steel case adopts thicker lugs, reinforcing its imposing appearance while maintaining the timeless elegance of the Submariner. The Cerachrom insert of the unidirectional bezel guarantees optimal scratch and UV resistance, while its "Green Gold" sunburst dial offers ever changing reflections under the light, bringing depth and dynamism to the design. This green, so particular and rich in reflections is composed of a colour pigment enriched with pure gold, giving it an unusual shine.

On the mechanical side, the 116610LV is driven by the calibre 3135, a proven automatic movement, recognised for its precision and reliability. Equipped with a blue Parachrom balance wheel, it offers better resistance to magnetic fields and shocks, ensuring optimal performance in all conditions. With a guaranteed water resistance up to 300 metres and a secure Oysterlock buckle, the "Hulk" embodies the DNA of the Submariner, both a diving tool and a prestigious watch.

Discontinued in 2020 and replaced by the 126610LV, the 116610LV remains today a piece highly sought after by collectors and sports watch enthusiasts. Its bold design, proven mechanics and iconic status make it an essential reference in the Rolex catalogue, testifying to the subtle but striking evolution of the Submariner over the decades. It remains to this day, the only steel Submariner with a coloured dial.
