The Wandering Hours
Born in 1655, the wandering hours complication was the Campani brothers' solution to the problems of night-time time reading of Pope Alexander VII. Rediscovered by Audemars Piguet and adapted for the first time to a wristwatch in 1991, it combines history, technical challenges, design and poetry. Aptly named Star Wheel in reference to the star-shaped gear at the base of each disc, Audemars Piguet's reference 25720BA brings the long-forgotten wandering hours complication back to the wrist with the first wandering hours wristwatch. This exceptional 1997 example comes with box and papers adding to the exclusivity of this timepiece!
