The first ever Rolesor Sea-Dweller
In 2019, Rolex presents a new iteration of its iconic Sea-Dweller: the reference 126603, a two-tone "Rolesor" model that combines Oystersteel and 18-carat yellow gold.
Retaining the robust 43 mm case of the 50th anniversary steel version, this Sea-Dweller is equipped with an Oyster bracelet, now featuring gold center links and clasp. The bezel and crown are in gold as well, adding a touch of luxury to a traditionally utilitarian design.
The watch is powered by the Calibre 3235, which offers a power reserve of about 70 hours and integrates the Chronergy escapement, which improves energy efficiency.
The impressive waterproofing of the Sea-Dweller remains unchanged, capable of withstanding depths of up to 1220 metres (4,000 feet), which testifies to its heritage in professional diving.
The addition of gold elements to the Sea-Dweller line was unexpected, as this model is traditionally a tool watch designed for professional divers. However, the incorporation of precious metals is part of the Rolex tradition, which combines luxury and functionality. The two-tone aesthetic offers a more versatile and upscale look, which appeals to people looking for a watch that seamlessly moves from an extreme environment to a more formal one.
This 2024 Sea-Dweller 43 Rolesor is in superb condition and is accompanied by its "full set".
