Launched in 1992, the Yacht-Master was initially intended to replace the Submariner, but the changes it brought seemed too drastic and Rolex decided to introduce it as a parallel model to the iconic 'Sub'. Indeed, the Yacht-Master was inspired by the Submariner but with a more luxurious and refined touch: its clientele no longer travels the seabed like the Submariner, but rather the surface of the seas and oceans aboard a ship.

This Yacht-Master 35 reference 168623 is ideal for smaller wrists thanks to its medium-sized case (35 mm). Slightly smaller than the men's watches in the Rolex "Classique" collection, but considerably larger than the women's "Classique" watches, the Oyster case of this Yacht-Master fits almost any wrist. In addition to its attractive size, the Yacht-Master 168623 features Rolesor 904L steel and 18-carat yellow gold, a Twinlock screw-down crown, a gold/steel Oyster bracelet with Oysterlock clasp, a bi-directional rotating bezel and a champagne sunray dial with luminescent hour markers.
